Primary Duties and Responsibilities ? Oversees and monitors the activities of the inmates or detainees in living areas, recreation activities areas, dining areas and visitation areas. ? Coordinates and monitors inmate or detainee movements, conducts counts, and provides emergency response as needed. ? Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms psychological evaluation on detainee/inmate population for mental, emotional andbehavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent. Determines theappropriate course of treatment.Evaluates detainees/inmates mental status as to the need for transfer.Provides psychotherapy counseling to treat illness or distress.Possesses a complete awareness of psychotropic medications, but cannot prescribe.Instructs staff and officers in suicide identificationThe GEO Group, Inc.
Minimum RequirementsAssociate degree in counseling, substance abuse or a related field from an accredited institution along with ninety (90) clock hours of education and training in the area alcohol, drug, and counseling. Must provide verification of education and experience from associated authorities.Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.Must have arranged for appropriate supervision, including an experience plan.Working knowledge of the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and NarcoticsThe GEO Group, Inc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Provides relevant Substance Abuse information for class curriculum. • Facilitates or co-facilitates didactic educational presentations, group counseling, and individual counseling sessions. • Selects and recommends new instructional materials and programs for use in the substance abuse program. • Maintains knowledge of new developments in the field of substance abuse. • Maintains a collegian relationship with other substance abuse professionals, programs,The GEO Group, Inc.
Minimum Requirements An associate degree in counseling, counseling related field or substance abuse related field from an accredited institution and three (3) years and three thousand (3,000) client contact hours under appropriate supervision of experience in the practice of alcohol and drug abuse counseling and two hundred (200) hours of face-to-face supervision. An applicant may be Approved who has education and training to include two hundred seventy-six (276) clock hours in the following areas: o 90The GEO Group, Inc.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/equivalency and five (5) years relevant wage-earning work experience required. Two (2) years teaching experience required.
